Robert concentrates on multistate complex real estate transactions.
Robert’s experience encompasses all aspects of the acquisition, development, and disposition of vacant land, commercial, mixed-use, and industrial properties, including the drafting, review, and analysis of encroachment agreements, easements, leases, purchase agreements, default correspondence, and other transaction-specific contracts and documentation. He regularly reviews and analyzes title commitments, surveys, leases, and correspondence concerning transaction terms and conditions, examines due diligence materials, and prepares and reviews closing documents. He has served as lead on the legal analysis and approval of property redevelopment and rebuilding projects.
He also has experience assisting in loan transactions involving commercial properties, including due diligence reviews and the analysis of loan title commitments, as well as the management of residential real estate transactions. His experience includes more than 10 years as a commercial real estate paralegal in both small and large Chicago law firms.
Robert earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College Chicago and a Paralegal Certificate from Loyola University Chicago (an ABA-approved program). He is a longtime member of the Illinois Paralegal Association.
